A stylish cafe, roastery and concept store inside the Myponga Market building, serving locally roasted coffee and seasonal food in an art deco former butter factory.

A cafe in a butter factory

Valley of Yore is the main tenant of the converted Myponga Market building (the old butter factory) and has built a regional reputation for its coffee, food and design. The space is industrial-chic - polished concrete, high ceilings, big plants, art on every wall.

What to order

Locally roasted single-origin coffee, an all-day menu of seasonal brunch and lunch plates, fresh baked goods, and a small concept store at the back stocking locally-made homewares, ceramics and prints.

When to come

It is the natural lunch stop on the drive between Adelaide and the south Fleurieu coast. Weekend mornings are busy - book ahead or come early.
